«KAMAZ-Master» – the eightfold winner of DAKAR Rally!

 This year the legendary race was held on the new route. The Paris-Dakar rally which was previously held in Africa, was moved to Argentina and Chile because of the terrorism threat, but despite this the name «Dakar-2009» remained the same. The new route was laid through the mountains and deserts of the South America and consisted of 14 stages.
The «KAMAZ-Master» team, the septuple winner of «Paris-Dakar», was successfully subjugating American continent during two weeks. And this time they proved again that they are the best! The crew of Firdaus Kabirov with navigator Aydar Belyaev and mechanic Andrew Mokeev has won the first place after results of 14 stages of the «Dakar-2009» race.

Vladimir Chagin, a champion of five marathons, won the 2-nd place. In addition, the crew of «KAMAZ-master» support vehicle with Ilgizar Mardeev confirmed the superiority of Russians and came fourth to the finish.
